Hey,
Love this Plugin. It does exactly what I need it to do. What I was curious about was if you ever plan to implement jQuery hide/show features into it? I want to be able to list multiple titles by Name, then when you hover over the title, it "shows" the list of chapters. when you mouseout it hides the chapter listing. Is this asking too much? I was trying to figure it out myself, but I can't really grasp the combination of jquery, php and wordpress....

One of the things I love about the Internet is the way it allows you to immerse yourself in other cultures, even if you don't have the resources to quite get to another country just yet. You've reminded me that I need to find more greek language podcasts! Thank you for sharing this.

Neat little caching library - thanks! Just one problem: I had to change filectime on line 51 to filemtime, as otherwise (on Windows, at least) it was failing to pick up on a file that was created long enough ago to be stale, but updated/modified recently enough to be fresh.

The code was not designed to do that. If it's just one page your using this on, it's probably easier to add the category names manually to the template given that I don't think that WordPress offers an easy way to pick and choose which category name to display other then those which the post is apart of.

If your talking about my WordPress Table of Contents widget instead, you need to set the category name manually for each widget instance.

hi! i found this support page via google cache. it's 404 on your blog.
all works well, posting multiple categories in the same page and i'm happy :) the title for each category does not show, can you please tell me how to add the title of the category to the template?

Beyond that... yeah--I don't have any intention of seeing the Facebook movie. I'm still in denial about something so ludicrous actually being a movie... but ok--to each, his or her own.
As for this season's anime, I'm liking Nurarihyon no Mago, Occult Gaguen (?) and Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi (Hilarious)

It should work on 2.9 even if WordPress says it doesn't. It's working fine on 3.o too, I just haven't updated the compatibility info. The plug-in isn't abandoned but its a low priority project. The time I've had to work on these has been spent exclusively on Muse's Success (muses-success.info) lately. Unless the plug-in is broken, I'm not planning to work on this or the e-book plug-in until I have finished the muses-success.info update. It's quite a big update but I'm nearly done. Of course, I have uni assignments to work on as well, so my time is limited or I feel guilty working on other things.

I hope you find the plug-in suitable for your needs and if it doesn't do something you feel is essential, please make a suggestion.

Yes, ePub contains CSS files. The default CSS is located in the plugins templates/ePub folder as titlepage.css and style.css (mostly chapters).

I was hoping MobiPocket was like that but it turns out its some proprietary Palm (think Palm Pilot/Pre) database file and unfortunately nothing exists for PHP to work with them. It's possible to use another application from PHP but I don't think most users of the plugin will be able to take advantage of this. It's not likely to work on shared hosting.

Do you mean like the books feature Wikipedia offers? (allowing visitors to create custom ebooks of content)

Yes, epub2pdf is a desktop app though I think its command line. It should be simple enough to use.

Probably it's no big deal to customize the output, as ePup contains css-files, too? So users might style the book a little bit...

Mobipocket is probably a kind of zip-format like ePup, too? I don't know.

Thanks for the epub2pdf-link. It's a desktop-application, right? I tried to install contuttopdf-plugin for wordpress, but doesn't work with my blog. The plugin allows you to create separate templates for the pdf-output. But I think it doesn't allow pagination, so probably no use for creating real pdf-eBooks. Another solutions I know is fivefilters.org, can be hosted on your server (open code, so maybee interesting) or the web-service zinepal.com, that provides pdf, epub and mobi-format from your rss-feed.

Well, quite interesting, but unfortunately I am not a programmer ... I allways looked for a solution, that allows visitors to create personalized books out of your wordpress-content, in ePup, PDF or whatever format. As the attention for classical book-formats is rising with Kindle and iPad, this might become more interesting in future, I hope...

Yes, I'm still working on the plug-in but I've been distracted from its development due to school assignments which wont really give me any time until June.

I'll add multiple categories to my to-do list.

PDF is already on my to-do list. It will likely be the next format added.

For now, you can use epub2pdf to create a PDF copy from the ePub ebook created by the plugin. I should note I've never tested it though.

Have some issues with this. The "Display TOC in Chapters Only" have a tendency to untick itself upon save and suddenly it will enforce this with no other way to stop it than to remove the widget and make it anew.
